Informativa sulla privacy di Project Brakeless
Ultimo aggiornamento: 28 ottobre 2026
Base: consenso (art. 6.1.a), revocabile scollegando l’account.
- Google AdMob: come Google usa i dati
- Unity: informativa Unity
- Epic Games: informativa Epic
Trasferimenti fuori dallo Spazio Economico Europeo
I tuoi diritti e come cancellare i dati
Project Brakeless privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Project Brakeless (“the game”) is an arcade racing game for Android. This notice, given under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), explains which personal data the game uses, why, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights.
Controller and contact
Filippo Checchia, natural person, independent developer under the RandomLab brand. For any request about your data write to randomlabcompany@gmail.com.
Minimum age
The game is not directed to, and must not be used by, children under 14. If you live in a country where the law sets a higher age for consenting alone to online services (up to 16), below that age consent to personalised advertising and to the Google link must be given by a person with parental responsibility. If you believe a child under 14 has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
What data the game processes, why and on what basis
- Anonymous player ID. On first launch with a connection the game creates an anonymous account with Unity Authentication (Unity Gaming Services). No email or password is needed. It makes the online game work. Legal basis: performing the service you ask for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Profile data: the player name you choose, colour and emblem, title and medals on show, level and some summary statistics. This data is visible to other players in online rooms, race results and player cards. Choose a name that does not identify you. Basis: Art. 6(1)(b).
- Game progress: coins, experience, cars owned and upgraded, career stars, completed challenges, statistics and records. They are saved on your device and, when a connection is available, on our servers (Unity Cloud Save and Cloud Code) to restore them if you change phone and to prevent cheating: the server recomputes coins and rewards. Basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and, for cheat prevention, our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Online races and rooms: name, chosen car, race position and times, room chat messages (visible to the players in the room and filtered by the host) and reports about other players. To connect players the game uses Unity Multiplayer Services and Epic Online Services; these providers, and other players in a direct connection, can see the device’s IP address while you are in a room. Basis: Art. 6(1)(b); for community safety (reports, filters) Art. 6(1)(f).
- Friends and invitations: friend list, requests and presence status (for example “in menu” or “racing”, which you can limit in settings) through Unity Friends. Basis: Art. 6(1)(b).
- Clubs: if you create or join a club we process the club’s name, tag, description and logo (visible to every player in the club list), your membership and role, join requests and invitations, kicks and rejoin waiting times, and the club chat messages (visible to members; the server keeps the last 100 messages of each club). Your club tag is shown next to your name to other players. The data is stored with Unity Cloud Save and Cloud Code. Basis: Art. 6(1)(b); for chat filters and reports Art. 6(1)(f).
- Google Play Games sign-in (optional): if you link your Google account, Google gives us an identifier and the display name to restore your progress. Basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw by unlinking the account.
- Advertising. The game shows three kinds of ads served by Google AdMob: rewarded videos, which start only when you tap the button to get the bonus; a full-screen ad, now and then, when you go back to the menu after finishing an offline free race; a small ad at the bottom of the home screen and of the Play page. No ad appears during a race. AdMob may use the device advertising ID, the IP address (also to estimate an approximate location, at city or region level), ad interaction data and technical data. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland consent is requested with Google’s form before an ad is loaded (Art. 6(1)(a)) and you can change it in Settings > Account & friends > Ad privacy; if you do not consent, Google may show non-personalised ads or no ads.
- Technical data: to connect you online Epic Online Services creates a device identifier and receives the phone model; Unity, Google and Epic may receive from their software components technical data (game and system version, model, language, performance and errors of their services). We do not receive error reports: we turned off the Unity engine’s analytics, crash reports and performance reporting. Basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f).
The game does not ask for access to GPS location, contacts, photos or the microphone and does not process payment data; Google AdMob may estimate an approximate location from the IP address, as described above. Room chat messages are not stored on our servers. The game does not take automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
Who we share it with
Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services: account, saves, game servers, friends, rooms) and Epic Games (Epic Online Services: connecting players) process data on our behalf as processors. Google processes data as an independent controller for advertising (AdMob) and for Google Play Games sign-in, under its own terms. Some data (name, profile look, club tag, results, chat messages and, in direct connections, the IP address) is visible to other players as described above. Some data about you does not come from you: reports by other players (with the reason and, for chat reports, the last lines you wrote) and the results report that the host of an online race sends to the server. We do not sell your personal data.
- Google AdMob: how Google uses data
- Unity: Unity privacy policy
- Epic Games: Epic privacy policy
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
The providers above may also process data in countries outside the EEA, including the United States. Transfers rely on the mechanisms provided by the GDPR (an adequacy decision, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified providers, or standard contractual clauses) adopted by each provider.
How long we keep it
We do not set an expiry date for every item: we keep data as long as it serves the stated purposes (running the game, verifying rewards, detecting cheating, protecting players) and we review it periodically. The race history and the reports exist for exactly this.
- Progress, profile, player card, friends and the backup copy of your statistics on the servers: until you ask for deletion, so you can come back to the game even after a long time. There is no automatic expiry.
- Clubs: membership and role while you stay in the club; invitations expire after 7 days; the chat keeps the last 100 messages of the club, so your messages disappear as new ones arrive, also after your account is deleted.
- Online race results (place and time, used to verify rewards and detect cheating): no automatic expiry; when you delete your account your name in the reports of races played after the October 2026 update becomes anonymous.
- Reports about players: the server keeps the last 50 reports about each player, for community safety (Art. 6(1)(f)), with no automatic expiry; they may remain after the account of the sender or of the reported player is deleted.
- On the device: until you uninstall the game. After a deletion the files are set aside on the device and removed when you uninstall.
- Data processed by Google, Unity and Epic as independent controllers: under their own policies.
- After a deletion the data on our servers listed as deleted on the deletion page is removed immediately; any provider backup copies expire on the providers’ own schedules.
Your rights and how to delete your data
- Delete your data from the game: in Settings > Account & friends use the delete button. A connection is required: if it fails, the game tells you to try again and deletes nothing locally. It removes the data on the servers (progress, economy, player card) and the anonymous account; files on the device are set aside and the game starts from scratch. Details and the email alternative: deletion page.
- Player ID: you can find it in Settings > Account & friends (tap to copy). When you write to us, include it so we can find your data.
- Advertising: you can review consent in Settings > Account & friends > Ad privacy, and reset or limit the advertising ID in Android settings (Google > Ads).
- You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Arts. 15-21 GDPR) and to withdraw any consent at any time. We reply within one month, extendable by two months for complex requests.
- You may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it) or the authority of your country.
- The profile name is needed to play online; offline the game works locally with the data on your device.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. Important changes will be shown in the game.
